FOR GROUP BOOKINGS!
-West
to Notting Hill Market
Take a ride to London’s finest antiques market. Starting a little
early we will be able to stop and enjoy the changing of the guard at Buckingham
Palace. Moving on we cycle though London’s green corridor St James’s
Park, Green Park, and Hyde Park, hardly a car in site. Whoa, what a great
way to travel!! The market is so busy we will have to park the bikes,
and meander with the crowds past the hundreds of stalls, picking up a
bargain or two, and a bite to eat. Keep your eyes open you might recognize
some of the famous film locations of recent years.
Availlable: April-October.
Best on: Saturday.
Duration: 4 hours
Cost: 40GBP + 12.00GBP per person.
-Greenwich and
The River
This is the longest of our rides but don’t be daunted as the route
follows the incline of the River Thames. Past Tower Bridge, on into Docklands
though London’s industrial heritage now converted to modern living.
Arriving in Greenwich in time for lunch and shopping. On Sunday the area
hosts a wonderful craft and bric-a-brak market. If this is not your thing
take a ride up the hill to the Greenwich Observatory, pass into East Europe
and marvel at the river sweeping though London. Yep! that’s it.
The route back is exploring the other side of the Thames.
Availlable: April-October.
Best on: Sunday.
Duration: 5 hours.
Cost: 50GBP + 15.00GBP per person.
-Any day is Fish
Day
Hey, start the weekend with some fun. We are off to find one of the last
great fish and chip shops in London’s East End. We will ride the
bikes along the river over Tower Bridge, via Wapping High Street to the
famous 16th century hostelry, The Prospect of Whitney, for a well deserved
rest. Time to chill and watch the river traffic float by, I’m sure
you will be ready for the weekend now. Only one thing left to do, is to
massage the stomach, with a short ride around Shad Thames to Wapping’s
best kept secret, fish dinner on news paper.
Availlable: April-October.
Best on: Evenings.
Duration: 3 hours
Cost; 30GBP + 9.00GBP per person.
-East London’s
Markets
This is the ride for the shopaholics. First we will load the bikes with
all the panniers we own, then we are ready for the bargains. There are
four East London markets, Spitafields, (covered) selling food and crafts.
Petticoat Lane, taking its name from 15th century, when the silk-weavers
sold their silk underwear outside Aldgate. Brick Lane, known today as
India Town and also has a reputation for some hot deals. Columbia Road
flower market, a little remembered market, but the flowers make it so
English. You’re going to have to choose, as there will only be enough
time to visit three of the markets.
Availlable: April-October.
Best on: Sunday.
Duration: 5 hours.
Cost 50GBP + 15.00GBP per person.
-Free Rides and Stuff
Check out the London Cycling Campaign for
club rides that are being organized by other London cyclists. These are
normally much longer and you will probably have to take a train, to meet
the group.
Groups welcome, discounts guaranteed.
